Juha Holma
Juha Holma (b. 1960) is a teacher in Jyväskylä Cygnaeus school of music. He has been conducting several choirs in Jyväskylä region from the year 1981. He has been the conductor of Sirkat between the years 1994-2004. During that period our choir has succeeded in various competitions: the best male choir in Béla Bartók competitions twice and we won the firs prize in the international Madetoja competition in 2000, when Holma was rewarded as the best choir conductor.
As a composer he has gained a lot of success in competitions during last years, but he has received also a lot of subscriptions. His life-work as a composer consists some orchestral compositions, but mainly he is known from his compositions to all choir forms.
